Virgin touch!

September 28th, 2007..marks the day i lost my virgin touch...to snow!! woohoo!! indeed, something to rejoice and celebrate!! Allow me to share my joy with all of you..here it is

Yup! That's me in my beenie touching some snowie..! Happie!! Also it is my 1st time ever doing snowboarding..getting on the board is not tough, unlike skateboarding (for some), but getting it to stop IS! It's so easy for the board to pick up speed! The basics to snowboarding is the control the speed and stopping..and after that you will get your whole body aching! i had to sleep for 17hrs to recover and only mildly :/ but well, it's fun! i don't mind going for it another time :)

haha...in less than 5secs, i've decided what i should actually do bout it :)

when i've got nothing much to blog about..then i dig out the history and blog lo hor..simple la..why even bother to consider, right? madness..

anyway, here's some of it :)

This pic shows my 1st visit and encounter with such a lively congregation of City Harvest Church, Singapore. They are the largest church in South East Asia (if i rem correctly) and they have about 24k+ members. (Btw, the pic was taken by my SE K800i, impressive eh the cam ;))

anyway, this has been the church i'm going to on any available Sundays since April '07.

City Harvest have very contemporary congregation and pastors and they are not shy about it. The Senior Pastor dyed his hair and probably only short of a pair of earring to cross the line (for most not-so-contemporary churches, dying of hair had already crossed the 'so-called' line). I shall stop here less i start any unnecessary debate. Let me defend myself by saying that whether you dyed your hair or guys, if you pierced your ears, Jesus still loves you and had died for you on the Cross. AND that is good enough for your salvation.

Ahh...just wanted to blog about this coz it's true that you can't find another church like this 1 in M'sia and S'pore, other than those who are under CHC's umbrella :)

have accumulated quite a bit of stuff to blog actually but should i do backlog or leave it behind and let time buries it?

Home Sweet Home...

I've stayed in quite a bit of hotels already but none can compare with the feeling i get now..and that is home sweet home! previously, hotels like to boast that they give the home away from home kinda feeling..but i doubt if any hotel can ever do that..because...they just can't! at least that is how it is to me :)

Short stay but well, better than nothing..great food...great time with family and friends..makes me wonder if i should come back with every opportunity i have..hhmm..

Great time in London!

Went to stonehenge! yea! BUT it was closed! had to stay outside the fenced area and only take pics from afar :/ sigh!! the prob is i spent bout 45pound to go there!!! and didn't even get closed to it to take a better pic :/ sigh!!!

AND!! i found out later that i actually could have taken a bus there and would have cost me bout 1pound only!! AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!! sigh :/

nevermind la..it's all good..i dunno how else to console myself other than hey, i've been there! have you?! ;)

oh well, time here is still great..managed to catch up with Ah Saw & wife and Wei Kheng..spent the whole Sunday with them and yup, it was great :) will blog on this particular Sunday next time..

my 1st time

WARNING! To those who are not into toilet stories, please come back in a few days time till this blog is updated.

Ahh..before i started flying, i was actually wandering when will be my 1st time that i will take a crap on the aircraft during work :) and yup, today 15Sep07 marks the day! When i had the urge to do so, i already had in my mind that i will blog it down!!

but sigh...was i disappointed :/ nothing was out! spend a few good mins of my rest time in the lavatory and nope! langsung apa pun tak da...

okie la...enough toilet stoties for 1 entry :)

3 buttons

gosh..!! 3 buttons in a month is just too much!! yes, i had to sew 3 buttons in 1 month!! since the day i know how to hold a needle till now i've never even sewn a button but this month i have to sew 3!!! the tough part is not the sewing itself, though it can be quite messy with all the strings everywhere, but putting the string through the teeny weeny needle hole! goodness!

Though my mom will never ever read my blog but thank you mom for sewing all the buttons for me previously :) and thank you darling too for sewing 1 button for me before ;) hope won't have more to come ya..

driving a Mazda 6 on a freeway!

the loooks of the car? good! the power of the car? wonderful! the feeling of driving it? GREAT! don't think i'll ever own 1 but it's good enough to have ever experienced dfriving in 1 :) was able to drive it while i was in Christchurch, NZ. the power comes as soon as you toe tipped on the accelerator. touching 110km/h wasn't an issue..wait, 110km/h was M'sia's highway speed limit..and the prob is...100km/h was NZ's!!! sigh!!

with the car and it's ability...only for 100km/h?! sigh!!! according to a fren, don't play the fool in NZ..policemen are quite active on the road..unlike what me and my fellow countrymen are use to. but looking at the potential of the car and the long straight road in front of me, i really can't forgive myself if i limit myself to 100km/h..dang!!! heck it! haven't even floored it and i see 140km/h already :) nice!! well, wasn't all the way though but it was great to release it once in a while..phew! good thing no police patroling then...

UNFORTUNATELY for my fren who drove us back after our trip..he was cruising at 120km/h and we met an oncoming frenly 'blue & red light' :) it U-turned and followed us..well, the rest is history...nope, my frens..no 'business' talk there...we had to trade NZD 80 for that piece of paper and here is how it looks like


oh well, after dividing by 5..it wasn't too bad la :) and ya, since i'm at this might as well continue on with another of our exciting adventure while on our trip..btw, we were on our way to the place where they filmed LOTR ;) and here's he beautiful view


we didn't have a tour guide, obviously, and so we can only suspect that this river that you see in the pic..is the 'dark, dark' place where 'that little creature' brought frodo and samwise passby..you rem that part? anyway...it was generally a very nice view with the snowcaps and all...



oh ya, the thing that i can sort of boast of, nothing proud of it, but hey, how many of you ever changed a tyre, let alone change in 'Middle Earth'?! ;) well, i did! haha...then we decided to take lots of photo there also la..

honestly...

will i miss this job when the day comes for me to give my 'letter'? the answer is a 'NO!' well, it's quite a big no there. Yup, the pay might be good...let's just say...very good :) including the lifestyle..but other than that..is really not a job that i would love to have till my time on earth ends. guess, a job is more than $$ and lifestyle..is about doing what and where your passion in life is. blessed is the man who finds it..and i'm sure you can..search for it, seek it, find it and be happy with it :)

Was encouraged to take up a hobby

Woke up at 3.30pm today and spent most of my waking hours in front of my PC since then :) wat else is there to do than chatting and reading some stuff over then? so i was chatting and Thern encouraged me to take up a hobby..any hobby and stop rotting!

well, ya..my life is really kind of rotting here. if i dun start doing something that will at least last and benefits me, i think i will live to regret it :/ 1 of my goals is to be physically fit :p but honestly, tak da motivasi man! lazy to go gym la..sigh..how la like that?!

wah! boringness...woke up from my nap and it's only 8+ pm..well, dun intend to nap any longer than that though..but really boring coz nothing to do in the room except to chat! :/ good thing got frens to chat with though :) thanks frens!

oh well...

might as well share a little bit bout what i've learned so far in S'pore... realise that being a nobody in the society..you really can't influence people. like it or not..position play a role and when you speak, ppl will listen to you..why?! coz of the little (or should i say big) title you have in front of your name. no wonder ppl are fighting hard for power :/ for with it..comes the power of influence. when you can influence others, you can get others to do things for you or get them to believe in what you believe and be your follower. doesn't that sound like leadership?

hhmm...my thoughts are kinda random now..may not be a good time to say something serious like this :) but i think that's good enough for thought provoking ;) till then...God bless!

land of fakies

wahl..syiok! although most of the things i don't need it but seeing so many of them and being cheap...syiok man! the sellers are real throat-cutters..wait..slayers would be a better word..i bought a pair of shoe and the price quoted initially was $120...after much bargaining..it was down to $25..madness! imagine those 'fish' that bought at the initial price! i was told even my price wasn't the best yet...could be lower..

after all the bargaining..i'm kinda tired! in the end..it's really about paying a price you are comfortable to pay and leave happy :)

in case you are wondering which 'haven' i'm talking about..it's Beijing, China ;) well, let's not give her such a bad name la ya..it's not all fake.it's just brandless or probably not authorized :p did it help?!

not only their stuff are cheap..the food's too! gosh! me and 2 other guys..ordered 4dish, fish, beef, chicken, vege..big portion 1 some more, and we couldn't finish...all that for only $30!! and ya, drinks included too...and not free chinese tea..

i'm going back ther again next month :) and we shall see what other cravings i have then ;) hhmm..i'm thinking of another pair of shoe..hehe..

1%

Few months before today, I told my Lord that what if 1% is all I've got for You? He replied, "If 1% is all you've got, 1%, then, is all I need." Thank you, Jesus!

The surmounting love Jesus has for me, and all of us! Everytime when I turn to myself and my faultss, I only see failure and hopelessness. But when my thoughts are turned towards Him, I see, feel and experiended love, joy and hope! And with that, my mind brings me to this verse

Phil. 3:8 - Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, what is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, what is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

Oh, how the Lord always want the best for us! Thank you, Lord! I shall focus on You always...and when I think I can't, I shall remember that with the only 1% I have, I will give it to You.

finally!

fooh!! after days of battling with Dell+Vista..finally the winner emerged! Linksys! Seems like the prob lies with Linksys' router's configuration and nothing wrong with Dell+Vista..anyway, it's bad enough to leave a bad after taste for me..

but well, now that it's all over..really don't wanna talk bout all that :)

now..with all the backlog of blogging..like 6months of stuff..let's see how long it'll take to update myself at this blog

Vista ruin your life!

well..it's sad but i'm dedicating the 1st post (using my new Dell notebook) to criticise Vista :/

Lousyness! They boost bout better wireless connectivity but the actual fact is it's giving me lots of problem! Had to this and that but still the problem is there! Lousy!

I'm so fed up with it that i'm deciding if I should sell if off and get a Mac!!!
