Sydney was not too bad a destination but the flight was...was...sigh...

Wesley Methodist was just behind the hotel that I was staying and Hillsong City was just a 25mins bus ride away :)

Also, Darling Harbour and Opera House are all within walking distance...

All in all, Sydney is not too bad but the flight was...was...sigh...

After a year

Finally, I put what I've been trained to use :)

Few days ago, on this particular flight, the safety video failed us and the crew-in-charge called for the crew to standby for live demo :/

And so there we were in our positions with the necessary equipments, awaiting his announcements for us to start.

All were not as smooth but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be :)

Marks my 1st time to Sydney!

Not that is a great destination or a place where i've been longing to go..just that is over a Sunday and i have a fren there who can bring me to church..so that makes it great :)

Heard that the load going down South is always pack and never an easy flight to do..so hopefully the time spent there can make up to it la..

Some thoughts on UEFA Champions League 2008

1stly, was glad that i wasn't in S'pore yesterday..if not, i'll have to walk 40mins to watch..if it's Liv, i don't mind :)

Anyway, Man Utd are the champs and kudos to them!

Downs of the game:
1. Why does it have to go all the way to penalty?! :( have to stay up an hour longer.
2. Stupid Drogba has to slap that poor fellow..although only mins to penalty shootout but the ball is still round! (rem Riise's own goal during semi-final?!)
3. C. Ronaldo (read 'arrogant idiot') has to score the 1st goal.

Ups of the game:
1. Lampard scored an equalizer!
2. Both teams were dominating.

The worse of the game!
- Terry missed the penalty.

The best of the game!
- Ronaldo MISSED the penalty!! woohoo!!!

Yup, this R fellow really has an arrogant attitude which shows on his face. I hope the news is true that he's moving to Real Madrid. That way I can watch Man Utd play and cheer for them if I ever needed to.

Now the real thing...part 3

SPLASH!!!!!!!!! (got to stay afloat!)

wait a minute..we have life jackets on :) hardly any effort needed to stay afloat..why are we afraid? natural instinct i guess...

so, the boat u-turned to save us. we asked him what happened before he helped us up. he said 'enjin rosak (engine failed)'..funny then..how did he manage to make the u-turn? my mind was super unsettled. i thot they did it on purpose to in turn give me a surprise! while all these was running through my mind as he was helping gf-turned-fiancee, suddenly, i became kiasi! was afraid he would save her and take her to somewhere else and then leave me alone in the middle of the sea! :) don't ask me why i think of silly things like that...

obviously we both got up the boat n slowly made our way back to shore. before we reached, i signaled for the banner..she, then, innocently asked me..'What's WYMM?' I thot it was obvious enough but still i answered her..'Will You Marry Me?' ....(pause)..can't rem if she gave me an answer or not :p

(That's us trying to swim ashore..3heads :) coz the other 1 was the operator of the parasailing)

Now the real thing...part 2

Alright..back from Dubai, rested well, had a good lunch..nothing much left on my mind on what to do..and so here it is..part 2!

in the previous part, it was...(pause)..u can read it yourself..it's just at the bottom..scroll down!

so before all the 1/2 naked, 1 knee-down proposing to a happily shocked and wonderful lady..quite a bit of drama happened :) and so i'm revealing why i'm actually 1/2 naked

the teddy and flowers weren't the only surprise i had for gf-turned-fiancee..why we were at the beach was becoz a smart fren of mine suggested i do parasailing, whipped out the ring and propose. i took 2/3 of the idea..parasailing and propose. figured it was a very very great big risk to try to wear the ring while we were parasailing..and i thank God so much i didn't take that idea..why? read on..oh btw, even though knowing full well i (we) were going for it, i didn't bring any extra clothes..smart guy eh :p

by about 6.30pm we were at the beach..pretending that we were just strolling on it but in my heart i was already looking for the parasailing ppl. after about 10steps into the beach area, the guy approached us! haha :) save my effort a bit..so i pretended we wanna think bout it and at the same time try to lower the price.

Cut long story to short..we agreed to take it at 7.10pm (of coz! it was part of my plan..as i've prepared a banner!) at this point, i was rather nervous as my frens were supposed to set up my car boot with flowers by 7pm (about sunsetting time) but they only reached at 7.10pm!! all was a rush but phew! they made it and so did my plan..up till so far, at least..

Something really funny happened before we took off..but i guess you'll have to wait a little while longer to see wat it actually is ;)

so we were up in the air, i signaled for the banner, i asked her to see it but we were too far up..we couldn't see it :p we enjoyed ourselves up there and suddenly..bbrrggghhh...we heard the boat engine shut down..WHAT!! and mind you, we were in the middle of the sea already AND with strong, big waves!

yup, you can only parasail with the boat pulling you at a rather fast speed but not with the engine off!!! obviously, we started to drop..slowly..slowly..JANGAN!! (means "don't!")..going..going..gone! SPLASH!!

before the splash, 1st thing on my mind, pockets empty..no wallet, hp and car key..2nd thing, there goes my plan :(

after the splash, make sure we don't drown :( (this is the only thing on her mind)

we survived of coz :) with no injuries but full of memories..

and there you have it! a wonderful adventure for me and her..thus also explains why i'm 1/2 naked :)

now the real thing..part 1

ahhh!! really wanted to only blog about it next week..but there are friends already asking me about it..so might as well la :)

where should i start..coz it's really a long long story!! let's see if i can do something different by working things backwards..hhmm..

ok! the memorable date was 12th May 2008..the hour was 7.30pm..the venue was the beach behind Park Royal beach (should give you guys some hint on why i wasn't having any shirt on)

I was 1/2 naked (seriously, it wasn't part of the original plan. if it is, i'd have made sure i am much more well built!) and down on 1 knee asking 'Will You Marry Me?' (too bad...my frens were busy taking video instead of pics, so there's no picture to show) The answer came after she recovered from the shock! Thank God it was and still is a 'Yes.' :)

Here's the reason for the shock...


143 red + 7 champagne roses = 1437...if you are wondering wat those no. signified :) hhmm..go ask the younger generation ;)

All was good but a little surprise came my way, our way and threw my plans a bit off..

1st..the Fake One

somehow can't wait to blog about it :)

so here goes!

started back on 29th March '08..wanted to give my gf a scare about me proposing to her in a local coffee shop..NOT with a real diamond ring but this..















it was a 'Diamond' T-shirt that i got from Taipei :) i succeeded..did really scare her..if u click on her blog you'll know :)

Gave her lots n lots of surprises around the issue of 'proposing'..something...i enjoy doing and also she likes receiving ;)

To wrap up this Fake One..it was good, clean fun!

Something changed...

Ladies n gentlemen, i'm pleased to announce that something very significant has changed in my life..

i'm 25 minutes too late..

yup..i can almost make that my song this morning...

Unfortunately is not 25minutes but 15minutes only! that was all it took to have me missed my flight back this morning! :(

the story goes back about 15hrs back..i didn't make it up..it's true! 15mins..15hrs..here's how it goes..

i was at amsterdam and my flight was scheduled to depart at about 12noon and we were given wake up calls 3hrs before flight..so thus 15hrs :) anyway, that's not the highlight..

the highlight is..the reason for the delay..apparently, the staffs of this particular company that handles my aviation's aircraft decided to go on strike! the crew that landed that morning had to wait in the aircraft for 2hrs!

i was worried! of all days to go on strike, it has to be today!..or rather yesterday! to cut the long story short...i was given some hope when i calculated that i could still land just on time but i failed to realise that they stop accepting passengers 40mins before scheduled time of departure (that's 0805) and i was at the counter at 0740! :(

SO! i'm 15mins too late :(

Gear Lust!

haha..got this term from a friend :)

yup, sad to say..i'm in this position. started with a Canon digital camera, which i'm quite satisfied with it..especially now that i know i can do more with it..but secretly still desire to have a DSLR camera :p Gear Lust #1

next comes my Dell notebook..probably 1 of the worse decision of my life! not coz it's a Dell (how can i turn my back on Dell?!? :p hehe..) but coz of its partner; Microsoft or specifically Vista! Was deciding between Dell|Windows and Mac|Leopard..the prob is..Dell|Windows is cheaper and already available and Mac|Leopard is slightly more ex and a few more months to wait..so my impatience and shortsightedness gave in..i'm now a not-so-proud owner of Dell|Windows :( still..secretly desiring a Mac|Leopard (be it the normal Macbook or even Air :p) Gear Lust #2

when i was down in s'pore the 1st month, back in March '07, i have the option of choosing the best hp for myself at that time and i chose the SE k700i..rather happy with my decision :) until the jog dial starts to trap dust and thus not so sensitive..got a little sien with it and craving for HTC begins! Gear Lust #3 ..was asking around if anybody wanna buy my SE and lo n behold! found a fren of mine :) sold it to him and got myself a TyTN ii..and a Touch Dual for gf :p no more Gear Lust in this aspect coz getting a HTC that time was it..hehe..but the prob now is, i'm not fully utilizing it..so a bit sien with the fact that i've spent so much on it but only using it as a normal hp :/

therefore, lesson learned is save up your money and only..ONLY get something you know you will fully utilize and know how to use it FULL well...even though you have to wait a little while and a little more ex..then you can look back and say 'well done, my own good and wonderful decision!'

so HOT!

what's with s'pore lately? it's been so hot for the past week! hardly any air flow as well..

normally i can survive with just the fan but not these pass few days..

it's so HOT!

Never get involve in a relationship that you know that will not last or 1 that you don't see or choose not to see how the future is or will be...

BUT

once you get into 1..make sure there's no backing out! coz if there's even a slight chance or opportunity for this to slip thru..that may or will be a very wide and possible gap (read easy way out) in the future..

IF

you plan for that to happen, don't ever get into a relationship..

(applies only if you are serious about a relationship and don't intend to just 'check-out' the other person..if you just want to check out the other person, then check him/ her out at the friendship level and never reveal your feelings to him/ her at that stage.)

it's 1.40am on the 1st of May 2oo8 - the reason i'm still up is because i'm waiting for this match to kick off at 2.45am local time (GMT +8)

gosh! the problem is 1) no frens of mine here (s'pore) is interested in watching it!! well, not like i've lots in the 1st place...anyway.. 2) the nearest place i can watch is 30mins walk from my place or take a that will cost bout $10-15 given that is pass midnite now :/

i can try paying for streaming it online but..haven't got the confidence in stuff like that yet :/

so how?! should i walk? which i'm actually not too sure if they'll screen it or waste $ on taxi fares?
